4th of July 2011 in Pleasant Hill is one of my favorite holiday’s. Check out the schedule of events and write up in the Pleasant Hill Outlook. The Commission has planned for this year! Come out bring the family and enjoy the day!
- 7th Annual Firecracker 5k Fun Run starts downtown at 8am
- Parade Grand Marshall – The annual 4th of July parade starts at 9:30 and you can view it best on Cresent Drive
- Party in Pleasant Hill Park – Join the city for food, tunes, petting zoo, Back Forty Texas BBQ, Cover to Cover, Jinx Jones and the King Tones
- Evening Event at College Park High School – Smokin Okie’s BBQ music and the Pleasant Hill Fireworks show.

Monday, July 4. Alameda’s 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m. is the 2nd longest Independence Day parade in the nation. It’s followed by a festival, but no fireworks.

I can’t wait to head down to Pleasant Hill Park and check out some great music and drink some good beer. This will be the first time the Pleasant Hill Chamber has put on this event but from what I know of the organizers it will be a lot of fun! The event is a fundraiser to help raise funds for the Pleasant Hill Teen Center
